PRACTICE EXERCISE
Typing Rule: Press your fingers on the keys of L, K, J (your right-hand fingers) and of A, S, D, F (Your left-hand fingers). Continue to practice at least 100 times. In this regard, you will have to press the upper and lower keys on the Keyboard. After doing so, type 50 times: The quick brown fox jumps over a lazy dog. To enter text, simply type on the keyboard. As you type, the text is inserted and the Insertion point moves to the right. When the line reaches the edge of the screen, do not press Enter. Word for Windows automatically moves to the start of the next line. This is called Wrapping, and this will be your Soft Return.

The Enter key is used to create a new paragraph. This is called a Hard Return. To correct simple typing mistakes, press Backspace or Delete. These keys will delete the text preceding or following the insertion point. Moving and copying text is easy with Word. Simply click and hold the left mouse button at the beginning of the text and then drag the mouse over the text. The selected text can then be either cut or pasted using the toolbar button. To delete more than a few characters, it's faster to select the text you want to delete and press backspace or delete, or to choose clear from the edit menu. Make a table and put your address: Write (1+x)n= 1+nc1x+nc2x2+nc3x3  & H2SO4 is an acid.

Underline the following text.
Before you can move, format, delete or otherwise change text, you must select (block) the item.
Select text is highlighted.  To cancel the selection, click outside the selection.
Copy and paste the next "Formatting Text with Word". Just after the second paragraph and make it bold and Italic.
This is an example of boldface. dd.
This is italic text.
This is underlining.

Combining, italic and underlining achieves this result.
Note: Please use your floppy disk. Type the exercise and correct the spelling, and just save.
